Snow showers are possible on Thursday throughout the Baltimore area, but the National Weather Service said that little or no accumulation is expected.

The chance of accumulation is 40 percent, said NWS, which added that otherwise partly sunny skies with a high near 25 is expected. Winds will come from the west at 5 mph to 11 mph, NWS said.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 12 and west winds from 9 to 13 mph, and Friday will be sunny with a high near 19 and northwest winds from 9 to 13 mph, NWS said. Temperatures are expected to stay below freezing until Saturday, NWS said.

The weather service has also issued a small craft advisory from Thursday through Friday morning for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay and tidal Potomac River. Wind chills may dip below zero late Thursday night and Friday morning, NWS said.
