Weather forecast: Mild week ahead

The cold weather will abate this week with temperatures reaching the 50s in Baltimore Monday and continuing to climb until Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The high in Baltimore is forecast to be 52 degrees, with light winds and some cloud cover. Temperatures will be slightly lower elsewhere around the region, but conditions will be similar, according to the weather service.

And the pleasant weather is forecast to continue throughout the week with temperatures breaking 60 degrees on Thursday.

While things might feel a bit warmer, a code orange air quality alert is in effect Monday.
