Sunny in the upper 70s on Monday

Temperatures in the Baltimore region will reach the upper 70s on Monday under mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight, scattered showers are possible with lows in the upper 60s in the city and lower 60s in the suburbs, the weather service said.

Showers are also likely on Tuesday, when temperatures will again reach into the upper 70s. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast through the rest of the week, as well.

Late Monday night there is the potential for minor coastal flooding along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Persistent southerly winds will keep coastal water levels high through the middle of the week, according to the weather service.
