Monday forecast: Dense morning fog, showers, high near 65

The National Weather Service is calling for Monday to be cloudy, with dense morning fog, a high near 65, and south winds 7 to 15 miles per hour. There is a 70 percent chance of showers, mainly after 4 p.m.

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Monday for central Maryland. A small craft advisory is in effect through Monday night for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and lower tidal Potomac River.

Monday night is expected to be rainy, with a low around 49 and west winds 10 to 17 miles per hour. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 53 and northwest winds 10 to 14 miles per hour.

Tuesday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 38 and northwest winds 5 to 7 miles per hour.
