Friday forecast: Mostly sunny, high near 65

The National Weather Service is calling for Friday to be mostly sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 65 and northwest winds 11 to 16 miles per hour in the morning.

A small craft advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Friday for the Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River. The small craft advisory continues until 2 a.m. for the Chesapeake Bay between Pooles Island and North Beach, including eastern inlets, and for the lower tidal Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay overnight.

Friday night is expected to be clear, with a low around 41 and north winds 5 to 8 miles per hour. A freeze watch has been issued for the northern and western suburbs of Baltimore and Washington for late Friday night.

Saturday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 63 and south winds 5 to 7 miles per hour in the morning.

Saturday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 53 and south winds around 7 miles per hour.
