Highs in the mid-50s with partly sunny skies are forecast for Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

A fire weather watch is expected to last through Tuesday afternoon and evening, despite a 20 percent chance of showers. The dry condition of brush, twigs and other kindling combined with steady winds continue the threat of wildfires, several of which spawned across the state Sunday and Monday.

Steady winds of 15 mph to 20 mph are expected Tuesday.

Overnight lows should reach the mid-30s in the suburbs and upper 30s downtown.

Similar weather is expected Wednesday and Wednesday night, with highs in the mid-50s, lows in the mid-30s and 15 to 20 mph winds.
