A cool-down from Monday's heat was expected overnight, with highs in the low 70s and sunny skies Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds could be gusty at times, at 10-15 mph and with gusts up to 25 mph. A small craft advisory is in effect for the Chesapeake Bay.
Tuesday night, lows are expected to reach the lower 50s downtown and the upper 40s in the suburbs.
Wednesday is expected to be cooler still, with highs in the lower 60s and lows in the mid-40s.
