After another sub-freezing morning for much of the region, highs are forecast to near 60 degrees with mostly sunny skies on Friday.
Lows were forecast in the upper 20s in the suburbs early Friday morning, and the mid-30s downtown.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are forecast throughout the day, with temperatures in the upper 50s.
For the weekend, mild but cloudy weather is expected. Saturday is forecast to swing from the lower 40s in the morning to about 60 degrees in the afternoon, with partly to mostly cloudy skies.
Sunday is forecast to start in the upper 40s and reach the lower 60s, with an increasing chance of showers throughout the day and evening.
Monday could start off no colder than the mid-50s, again nearing 60 degrees in the afternoon before cold air returns.
