Sunny, cold Wednesday before warm-up ahead

Wind chills in the 20s under sunny skies are forecast Wednesday in the Baltimore area before a warm-up begins and lasts through the weekend.

Overnight lows were forecast around freezing. With 10-20 mph winds expected through the morning and afternoon, it could feel more like the 20s.

Skies are forecast to remain mostly clear.

Overnight lows Wednesday into Thursday are forecast in the mid-20s in the suburbs and around freezing downtown.

A warm up is expected to begin Thursday, with highs in the mid- to upper-40s and lows in the mid-30s. Partly cloudy skies are forecast during the day, becoming mostly cloudy overnight.

Highs Friday are forecast in the mid-50s, with lows in the upper 40s. Saturday and Sunday could reach the lower 60s with chances for rain showers both days.
