Sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s were forecast Thursday, but steady winds and strong gusts were expected to make it feel like the teens and 20s throughout the day.

Overnight lows were expected to hit the lower 20s. Winds were expected to shift to become westerly by midday, with 15-20 mph breezes and 20-40mph gusts.

Temperatures were expected to drop into the mid-teens overnight Thursday into Friday, with winds remaining strong at 10-20 mph and wind chills in the upper single digits.

Winds were expected to calm Friday, with sunshine remaining, but temperatures were expected to hover in the 20s all day, with wind chills in the single digits and teens.

Saturday could bring a slight chance for snow showers amid cloudy skies, with highs in the upper 30s and lows around freezing.

Snow was also expected Sunday, possibly starting as a wintry mix with highs in the lower 40s but then turning to snow and continuing through Monday, possibly mixing with rain.
