Thunderstorm chances, albeit spotty ones, stretch through much of the weekend forecast for Ocean City beachgoers, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service predicts slight chances of storms Saturday afternoon, growing to about 50 percent chances for the evening and overnight. Those chances extend into Sunday morning.

Otherwise, clear and sunny skies are forecast Friday and later on Sunday.

High temperatures are forecast in the lower 80s.

Waves are forecast at about 2 feet, with the water temperature at a mild 70-74 degrees. The risk of rip currents is expected to be low.
