Showers, storms likely Thursday with highs in mid-80s

Showers and thunderstorms are likely Thursday in the Baltimore area, with temperatures reaching the mid-80s.

The National Weather Service calls for a 90 percent chance of rain throughout the day. With the moisture comes added humidity, with dew points in the upper 60s at uncomfortable levels.

More than half an inch of rain is possible.

The system is expected to clear out by Friday, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 80s.

For the weekend, unseasonably low humidity is forecast to return, with highs in the mid-80s Saturday and the lower 80s Sunday and partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. There is a slight chance of scattered thunderstorms Saturday evening.
