Rain was expected to taper off around midday Friday, though wind gusts could continue to reach 20 mph into the afternoon.

A gale warning was in effect on the Chesapeake Bay until noon, with a small craft advisory until 6 p.m. Wind gusts reached 28 mph Friday morning at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 60s are forecast Saturday.

Colder air is forecast to return Sunday, with highs in the mid-50s under sunny skies and temperatures dropping down to the lower to mid-30s Sunday night into Monday.
