Rain, chilly temperatures forecast Thursday

Temperatures are forecast to stay in the 50s and lower 60s amid drizzly weather Thursday.

Rain chances are possible throughout the day, though accumulations are forecast to be light, at a quarter of an inch or less.

Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport dropped to 54 degrees overnight, and temperatures were rising slowly Thursday morning, reaching hovering around 55 degrees through 10 a.m. Afternoon highs are forecast around 60 degrees.

The coolest May 29 on record in Baltimore topped out at 58 degrees in 1996.

Mostly to partly cloudy skies are forecast Friday with slight morning rain chances and afternoon storm chances, with highs in the mid-70s.

Dry weather with partly cloudy to sunny skies is forecast for the weekend, with highs in the mid-70s.
