A rainy Saturday and a pleasant Sunday are in store for beachgoers this weekend, the first less-than-ideal forecast of the young summer.
Shower and thunderstorm chances are expected to move in Friday night and last through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Rain showers should be light, with half an inch of rain or less, but storms could bring some heavier precipitation.
High temperatures Saturday are forecast in the upper 70s.
Clouds and rain are expected to clear out by Sunday morning, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s.
The water has warmed to a milder 66 degrees to 70 degrees, making for a more comfortable swim. Rip current risks are forecast to be low Friday, with 2-foot waves.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
