Some sunshine was expected to return to the Baltimore area Wednesday, with temperatures rising above freezing for the first time since an icy and snowy storm swept in Sunday night.
Temperatures were expected to start off the morning in the teens, with lows around 14 degrees, then rising into the mid- to upper-30s by the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies were forecast in the morning, with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.
A 5-10 mph northerly wind was expected to make it feel below freezing throughout the day, however.
Lows early Thursday morning were expected in the mid-20s, with mostly cloudy skies and highs again in the mid-30s and wind chills in the 20s.
Friday could bring a slight warm-up, though with temperatures still below normal. Highs were expected in the mid-40s, with lows in the upper 20s.
Seasonable temperatures were forecast for the weekend, with highs in the lower 50s Saturday and upper 40s Sunday, and lows in the lower to mid-30s.
