Mostly cloudy skies, highs around 60 degrees Monday

Mild weather and mostly cloudy skies are forecast in the Baltimore area Monday, with highs around 60 degrees.

After temperatures were expected to drop into the mid-30s by early Monday morning, they were forecast to reach the lower 50s by midday.

Lows in the mid-40s were expected overnight Monday into Tuesday, with highs Tuesday again in the lower 60s with mostly cloudy skies.

Rain was forecast to move through the region Wednesday as a cold front brings another burst of chilly air. Highs could reach the upper 50s Wednesday before gusty winds and lows in the mid-20s move in overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Wintry precipitation was expected to stay to the north of Maryland for the most part, but a chance of a wintry mix was possible early Thursday morning.

Highs Thursday were expected in the mid-30s before rebounding to the lower 50s Friday.
