More wind, highs near 60 forecast Friday

Temperatures are expected to bounce back to around 60 degrees Friday, though windy conditions could continue for another day.

Another cold morning was expected, with lows in the upper 20s, but temperatures were expected to rise quickly after sunrise to about 50 degrees by midday and the upper 50s by late afternoon.

Winds of 15-25 mph were expected to pick up around midday and continue into the night. A fire weather watch was in effect, with low humidity and dry conditions across the region.

Lows Friday night into Saturday morning were expected in the lower 40s, with highs in the mid-60s Saturday under partly cloudy skies.

Lows in the mid-30s were expected early Sunday morning, with highs in the mid-40s before precipitation expected to start as rain but turn to a wintry mix and then snow overnight into Monday. Overnight lows could reach the upper 20s.

A wintry mix could continue into Monday, St. Patrick's Day, with highs in the mid-30s and lows in the mid-20s.
