High pressure over the region will bring sunny skies and relatively mild temperatures Monday in the Baltimore area, according to the National Weather Service.
Overnight lows were expected in the upper 30s, with a 5-10 mph breeze making wind chills around freezing to start the day.
Mostly sunny skies are forecast during the day, with temperatures rising to the upper 40s.
Tuesday, a low-pressure system from the Mississippi Valley is expected to arrive and bring a period of rain from the afternoon through the evening. More than three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible, according to the weather service. With highs forecast again in the upper 40s, the precipitation should remain in liquid form.
Mild weather is expected Wednesday with highs in the mid-50s and mostly cloudy skies.
