Looking forward to one last weekend at the beach, or enjoying the Grand Prix of Baltimore? It's possible some storms could interrupt your fun, though it depends on whose forecast you're reading.
At the beach, the National Weather Service is calling for storm chances to start Saturday night and extend through Sunday, with about a 40 percent chance of precipitation Sunday. Storm chances return Monday night, with a 50 percent possibility, according to the forecast.
Temperatures are expected to top out around 80 degrees but with very high humidity, dew points in the lower 70s.
Other forecasters play down the rain and storm chances. The Weather Channel predicts 30 percent chances of isolated storms for each day of the long holiday weekend. AccuWeather calls for a passing storm or two but partly cloudy skies otherwise.
The Weather Underground doesn't mention storm chances until late on Monday, with a 30 percent probability then.
Back in Baltimore, there are also slim rain or storm chances late Saturday into Sunday, and again late Monday. But otherwise, some clouds, high humidity and highs around 90 degrees are forecast for the Grand Prix of Baltimore.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
