Highs in upper 40s, partly cloudy skies Thursday

Highs in the upper 40s and partly cloudy skies are forecast Thursday in the Baltimore area, as temperatures begin a warm-up into the weekend.

Overnight lows were forecast around freezing. It's forecast to be only the second day of above-normal temperatures in nearly two weeks. Normal highs this time of year are in the lower 40s, with lows in the upper 20s.

Lows are forecast in the mid-30s to around 40 degrees overnight Thursday into Friday, before highs climb into the upper 50s Friday.

Clouds are forecast to increase Friday and Saturday before chances for rain showers and possible thunderstorms Sunday. Highs Saturday are forecast in the lower 60s, and Sunday could reach the lower 70s, potentially breaking a 124-year-old record.
