A relatively mild start to the day was expected, with lows in the mid-40s overnight. Normal highs this time of year are in the lower 50s, with lows around freezing.

Rain was forecast Wednesday, with a chance for thunderstorms as a potent cold front moves through. Temperatures could reach the mid-60s Wednesday afternoon before sinking to the mid-20s by early Thursday morning.

Less than half an inch of rain was expected to fall Wednesday.

Thursday was forecast to be clear and cold, with highs in the lower 30s and lows in the lower 20s.

Temperatures were expected to rebound Friday and into the weekend, with highs in the 50s and 60s.
