A hot and muggy week is forecast to begin Monday, with sunshine, highs in the upper 80s and slight evening storm chances.
Overnight lows were expected in the 60s and close to 70 degrees in the city, surging into the mid-80s by midday. About a 30 percent chance of storms is forecast after about 6 p.m.
A similar pattern is forecast through the week.
Highs are forecast to reach the lower 90s Tuesday and Wednesday, with partly cloudy skies, high humidity and evening storm chances.
A 50 percent chance of storms is forecast for much of Thursday, with highs in the upper 80s and high humidity.
