Dense fog advisory issued for Baltimore area

A dense fog advisory is in effect across Central Maryland from 9 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory covers from Washington County to Harford County, and from the Mason-Dixon Line to Southern Maryland. Visibilities of a quarter mile or less are possible.

Motorists are advised to use low-beam headlights and keep a safe distance between other vehicles.

Depending on how long the fog and clouds stick around Saturday morning, it could impact high temperatures on what is expected to be a warm day with highs around 60 degrees. Temperatures may not rise above the 50s if skies don't clear early, according to weather service forecast discussions.
