Baltimore could inch above the freezing mark for the first time since Monday, with temperatures in the 30s on Thursday and cloudy skies.
Overnight lows were forecast in the 20s, with highs reaching the mid-30s.
A wintry mix of rain and snow is possible by early Friday morning, turning to chances of rain through Friday. Temperatures Friday are forecast to be between about freezing and the lower 40s.
A significant warm-up is expected this weekend with highs in the upper 50s Saturday and lower 50s Sunday. An 80 percent chance of showers is expected Saturday, possibly lingering into Sunday.
