Clouds, mild temperatures Friday with shower chances late

Temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s and cloudy skies are forecast in the Baltimore area Friday, with a chance of showers arriving late.

Early morning lows were forecast in the mid- to upper 40s. Afternoon highs could reach the lower 60s.

A chance of showers arrives in the afternoon, along with gusty winds. About a 40 percent chance of rain is expected in the late afternoon and through the night, with 10-20 mph breezes and gusts up to 30 mph.

Rain is expected to clear out by early Saturday, but windy conditions are forecast to remain and usher in frigid weather. Partly cloudy skies and highs around 50 degrees are forecast during the day, with temperatures dropping into the 20s overnight into Sunday.

Steady winds could reach 20-25 mph by late Saturday and through much of Sunday, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Highs Sunday may not rise much above freezing, in the mid-30s, with wind chills down into the teens and 20s. Lows Sunday night into Monday could hit the lower- to mid-20s.
