Another morning chill, then highs in mid-50s forecast Thursday

Another frigid morning is forecast in the Baltimore area Thursday, but then warmer temperatures are forecast for the afternoon, with highs reaching the mid-50s.

Overnight lows were forecast to drop to the mid-20s in the suburbs early Thursday morning, and around freezing downtown.

Clear, sunny skies are forecast throughout the day, helping to warm things up in the afternoon. Calmer winds are also expected, with a 5-10 mph breeze.

Lows could again drop into the 20s and 30s early Friday morning, but then highs could climb to around 60 degrees Friday afternoon.

The weekend is forecast to be cloudy and mild, with a 50 percent chance of showers Sunday. Highs both Saturday and Sunday are forecast around 60 degrees, with lows in the 40s early Saturday, around 50 early Sunday, and potentially as warm as the upper 50s early Monday morning.
