Black Friday shoppers awakening from their Thanksgiving turkey hangovers to brave the frigid conditions Friday morning should bundle up.
The predawn door-busters were faced with lows in the upper 20s overnight in downtown Baltimore and in the mid 20s in the suburbs, according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front over the midwest Thursday afternoon should have moved east through the night and was difficult to detect by Friday morning, the National Weather Service said. Whatever remains from it will result in "a shot of dry air" before winds will shift back toward the northwest.
During the day, shoppers can expect sunny conditions with highs around 40 degrees and winds from the north between 5 and 10 mph. Forecasters believe Friday night will be mostly clear before becoming partly cloudy with lows in the mid 20s in the Baltimore metropolitan area.Staff reporter Carrie Wells contributed to this report.
