No need to bundle up the kids for Halloween this year -- a break from the fall chill that has settled in is forecast on Thursday.
Temperatures are expected in the mid- to upper 60s for trick-or-treating hours.
But there is a chance for a sprinkle for those older kids planning to make it a late night; rain showers are expected to move in over the late evening hours, continuing into Friday, so bring the umbrella, just in case.
"WARMER AND MORE MOIST AIR FROM THE SOUTH ON AN INCREASINGLY GUSTY WIND WILL HELP TO FUEL DEVELOPING RAIN SHOWERS AND PERHAPS A FEW THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY NIGHT. GUSTY WINDS WILL BE THE MAIN CONCERN WITH THIS COLD FRONT," National Weather Service meteorologists wrote in a forecast discussion.
