New Orleans airport reopens
Firefighter Tom Blomgren, of Battlecreek, Mich., center, places his shoes into an X-ray machine at New Orleans' Louis Armstrong International Airport on Sept. 13. Blomgren was a passenger on Northwest Airlines flight 956 to Memphis, the first commercial flight to depart the airport since Hurricane Katrina ravaged much of the region.
