Maryland weather: A rare pleasant, rain-free weekend ahead in Baltimore area

After an extended period of rain that has helped make 2018 one of the wettest years on record in the Baltimore area, the National Weather Service forecasts that the weekend might actually be pleasant.

No more than a chance of precipitation is in the forecast until Tuesday evening.

Friday evening will be partly cloudy with a low around 60 degrees with light wind. Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 74 degrees, Saturday night is expected to be mostly clear with a low around 58 and Sunday should be mostly sunny with a high near 73 degrees.

For the next work week, the highs will approach 80 degrees with partly cloudy skies. The chance for rain Tuesday night is 30 percent.
