Amid high temps today, forecasters issue flash flood warning

The heat index in Baltimore will reach 92 degrees Wednesday afternoon, and could include showers and thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service issued flash flood warning for northwestern Harford County until 6:30 p.m. and eastern and central Baltimore County until 5:45. Up to three inches have already fallen, the NWS said.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for southeastern Harford and Baltimore counties until 4:45 p.m.

High temperatures are forecasted to continue until the weekend, with highs near 90 degrees both Thursday and Friday, along with some scattered thunderstorms.

Things will cool down significantly this weekend, however. The forecast predicts temperatures will peak in the low- to mid-80s, with a chance of rain Saturday morning and Sunday night.
