Virginia voters picked candidates in a primary election today.

Ralph Northam won the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor.

He will face Republican E.W. Jackson in November.  

In the Attorney General race, Mark R. Herring will be the Democratic Candidate.

His challenger will be Republican Mark Obenshain. 

The Republican candidate for the 6th District House of Delegates seat will be Jeffrey L. Campbell.

The 6th District is Carroll, Part of Smyth, and Wythe Counties. 

Les R. Adams will be the Republican candidate for the House of Delegates seat in the 16th District. 

That seat covers part of Henry County, Pennsylvania County, and the City of Martinsville.

And, Tim A. Allen won the Democratic nomination for Roanoke City Sheriff.
