A campaign that began more than a year ago, is now down to the last six weeks.
Saturday, U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine asked Democrats across the state to help deliver his message to voters.
Kaine made two stops in the Roanoke Valley, during a statewide swing that also carried him to Charlottesville, Harrisonburg and northern Virginia.
Democrats crowded into a local campaign office to hear from Kaine before canvassing neighborhoods and working the phones.
Kaine says, "At the end of the day, I would always take the energy of regular people than an extra TV ad, especially an extra negative TV ad, because you see this energy is all positive."
Kaine's Republican opponent George Allen was campaigning Saturday in the suburbs of Richmond, and in northern Virginia.
