"F-L-U-O-R-I-D-E. Fluoride" and we have a winner! Elijah Martin from Breckenridge Elementary won this year's Roanoke City Public School's Division-wide Spelling Bee. The Bee was held Tuesday at Lucy Addison Middle School in Roanoke.
Five champion spellers gave it their all to take home the winning trophy. In the end, Elijah spelled the 47th word, Flouride, winning the competition. Elijah will go on to the Roanoke Times Spelling Bee at the Holiday in Tanglewood in the Spring.
