The campaign trail rolled through Southern Virginia Tuesday.
Attorney General and current Republican candidate for Governor, Ken Cuccinelli started his day with a visit to Solid Stone Fabrics.
Cuccinelli used the business as the site to roll out his Virginia Workforce Investment and Jobs Plan.
Using the fabrics' manufacturer as an example he says there must be accountability in workforce development programs and his plan would have the leader of that program answering to him.
Cuccinelli says the money for the plan will come from streamlining programs.
“What we were talking about when you read the full plan -there's a lot of consolidation that we're talking about doing so that we can concentrate our focus on the effects programs that deliver and focus into a labor pool where there's already a demand,” Cuccinelli said.
He says he also wants to broaden the STEM curriculum in schools and put unemployed Veterans back to work.
