A video featuring a song from the 1940's is sending Lawrence High School students to internet fame.

The film production class at Lawrence High School put together a music video with a punk-rock version of Mack David's song "Sunflower."

It features a student's own arrangement of the music with student dancers and singers.

Tonight, the video's being recognized by the Kansas Arts Commission.

"The Kansas Arts Commission saw it and kind of adopted it, which is really cool, and it became somewhat of a rallying cry for the support of arts in the state of Kansas," says teacher Jeff Kuhr.

The video was made with the state's 150th birthday in mind.
