An Overland Park man is honoring the victims of 911 by running nonstop for more than 50 hours. Greg Vaughn founded the non-profit organization 'Strides for Pride' in 2007. For the 10th anniversary of the 911 attacks Vaughn ran 3,000 minutes nonstop in honor of all 3,000 victims. The whole time hoisting the American flag over his shoulder.

"I kind of try to be a mascot for America when I'm out running," Vaughn said. "And remind people how lucky they are to live here."

Vaughn started his 3,000 minute run at the Overland Park Fire Training Center on Friday at noon. He will finish on Sunday, Septtember 11, running the last nine hours and 11 minutes to coincide with the annual Patriots Run at the Great Mall of the Great Plains in Olathe.
