Arrests in Baltimore for illegal guns often lead to dropped charges or little jail time

From Above winner

The winner of this week's Reader SunShots theme "From Above" is Kevin Moore for his photo of a 1912 Curtiss Pusher flying over Fort McHenry. The photo was taken with a Canon 5D MKIII and a 70-200mm lens at f-9. Moore writes, "A friend from the Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum let me know that there was a spot in the back seat of a small plane that was following the Pusher to the Bay Bridge on its way home to Virginia Beach; although I haven't been in a plane for over 15 years I couldn't pass up this opportunity. As the plane momentarily passed over Fort McHenry I was lucky enough to get an unobstructed shot of it."Sun photo editor Jerry Jackson's critique: "It helps to have friends in high places; in this case, a pilot that put the photographer in the right place at the right time. The photo is also a nice example of how complementary colors work, with the yellow plane against the blue water and the red brick contrasting with the green grass."
