City Lights winner

Chuck Robinson is the winner of this week's Reader SunShots series "City Lights" for his photo "View from East Baltimore," taken with a Nikon D300 and zoom lens set at 55mm. Robinson writes, "I was driving around East Baltimore looking for a different view of the city. I came upon this location on Fayette street which allowed me to catch the last light of the setting sun and capture some of the lights in the buildings. I also used a long shutter speed (5 seconds) to capture the light trails of the passing cars."

Sun photo editor Jerry Jackson's critique: "The photographer picked the ideal time of day to balance the remaining daylight and artificial lights. The cool stillness of the skyline at dusk contrasts nicely with the warmer tones of the street level lights and cars streaking by."
