Back in the saddle
On Nov. 10, 2011, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that actor-comedian Billy Crystal would replace Eddie Murphy as the host of the 84th Academy Awards, which would mark his ninth time hosting the Oscars.
"Some of the best moments of my career have happened on the Oscar stage. I am thrilled to be back there," the comedian said in a statement. "Actually, I am doing this so that the young woman in my pharmacy will stop asking me my name when I pick up my prescriptions." In the photo above, Crystal poses with Oscar statuettes in 1990.
