( Baltimore Sun photo by Kim Hairston / February 22, 2011 ) Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller talks with Sen. Catherine Pugh (D-40) before Tuesday's session. She is lead sponsor in the Senate of a bill to place a statue of Harriet Tubman in National Statuary Hall of the U.S. Capitol. But this would mean replacing the statue of Declaration signer John Hanson, an idea that upsets Miller and other historians. |
