Passing yachts

A waterman guides his boat past yachts in St. Michael's west harbor. Residents in St. Michael's, worried that a proposed large scale development of 250 homes at the Miles Point property, located at the northern boundary of the town of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100619050000" title="St. Michaels" href="/topic/us/maryland/talbot-county/st.-michaels-PLGEO100100619050000.topic">St. Michaels</a>, that would increase the size of the town by 33 percent, have gathered enough signatures to get a ballot referendum on the zoning that would allow the project. But the town clerk says the zoning, which was approved by the town council, is not eligible for a refendum.
