Bertha Adkins
Bertha Adkins from Salisbury, Md., served as undersecretary of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare in the Eisenhower administration. She was an educator, political activist, public servant, and a community leader. She was inducted into the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame in 1989.
