( Algerina Perna/Baltimore Sun / February 16, 2012 ) Aboard the USNS Comfort from left: Douglas Ruby, able seaman; Luis Torres, bosun; and Gerald Butch, ships bosun, inspect and package survival suits for the trip to Boston for the regularly scheduled 5-year dry docking. The US Navy has decided to move the USNS Comfort from its berth in Canton to naval facilities in Norfolk, VA, which will save the navy about $2 million per year. |
