Turkish riot policemen arrests a a Libyan in front of the consulate of Libya in downtown Istanbul. Dozens of Libyans were arrested on March 23 after they stormed the consulate, demanding financial aid to pay for treatment they received in Turkey for their injuries during the Libyan unrest. Police arrested nearly 70 Libyan protestors after they stormed the consulate with stones and caused panic, said an AFP photographer at the scene. Some 20 protesters managed to get inside the consulate and damaged the property, but nobody was seriously injured in the conflict. The protesters also clashed briefly with the police, throwing stones to push back the security forces.
