Memorial Day

At Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Dena Stenberg (CQ), a disabled Army veteran from <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100603120000" title="Pikesville" href="/topic/us/maryland/baltimore-county/pikesville-PLGEO100100603120000.topic">Pikesville</a>, salutes a marker after straightening its flag. About 30,000 small U.S. flags are added to each grave marker for the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVFES00000166" title="Memorial Day" href="/topic/arts-culture/holidays/memorial-day-EVFES00000166.topic">Memorial Day</a> holiday weekend. About her visit, Stenberg said, "I do it to help remember my former mates."
