The cost of an Internet sales tax

Maryland Chamber of Commerce President Kathy Snyder says Gov. Martin O'Malley's request that Comptroller Peter Franchot study the sales tax revenue Maryland loses from Internet sales should be taken cautiously. Efforts to tap some of that lost revenue could cost Maryland more than the state gains, she writes.
