Mandatory union fee should be unconstitutional

It seems to me that forcing state employees to pay union fees ("State workers pay to unions," July 5) is no different than forcing everyone to buy health insurance. Both mandates are wrong and unconstitutional. This state and this country are completely out of control because of our state and federal "controllers"!

Wasn't there a 10-year plan to rid Baltimore of its homeless? Trust me, too many jobs are connected to the $48.3 million federal grant to housing and service programs in Maryland so that is never going to happen ("$48.3M awarded to homeless services programs in Maryland," Jan. 26)!
