Under Armour brings in new president; Plank remains CEO

Trump's failures shouldn't be glossed over

A reader takes The Sun to task for favoring Democrats and refusing to acknowledge that President Donald Trump has done anything that warrants praise ("GOP can't catch a break in the Sun," April 19). I, for one, admire the Sun and its fair and unbiased treatment of the news. Exactly what has our president accomplished that merits praise?

Promulgate an unconstitutional ban on Muslims? Promote health care legislation that will raise the cost of premiums and take health care away from 26 million Americans? Advocate a tax overhaul that will only benefit billionaires and multinational corporations? Slash funding for programs that will reduce pollution and global warming? Trash our NATO treaty commitments and jeopardize relations with our allies? Create a climate of fear and intimidation against millions of peaceful and productive immigrants who are seeking a better life for their children?

So far, the Trump administration has been a total disaster and promises to get worse. A free and unfettered press is a critical defense against an administration intent on taking the country back to a darker time.
